Baguette in the bread machine

Actually only the dough is prepared in the bread machine. The baguettes are baked in the oven. 

This recipe requires a lot of time but the result is delicious.

Ingredients

  • 500 g flour
  • 10 g salt
  • 10 g dry yeast or 20 g of fresh yeast
  • 3 dl lukewarm water

Instructions

Dough:

  1. water, salt, flour and yeast in the bread machine
  2. select the dough program

  3. when the program is finished, remove the dough out and divide into 4 equal parts

  4. shape the baguettes and cut four notches of 1 cm at the top

  5. cover with a damp towel
  6. let the dough rise for 45 minutes

Baking:

  1. preheat the oven to 200 ° C (position 5,5)

  2. spray water on the baguettes
  3. place a scale of water in the oven

  4. bake for 20 minitues and sprinkle a few times with water

  5. oven at 180 ° C (position 4)

  6. bake 10-18 minutes, depending on color and sprinkle a few times with water
