Béchamel sauce in the microwave

Béchamel sauce in the microwave, it's one of those things where you wonder why you didn't do it before. 

After you've tried it, you will never again make béchamel sauce in a pan. 

It's really easy, fast, impossible to miss and the sauce is perfectly creamy.

Ingredients

  • 0.5 l milk
  • 40 g butter
  • 40 g flour
  • 1 pinch nutmeg
  • salt & pepper

Instructions

  1. melt the butter in a bowl in the microwave oven: 1-2 min. at medium power
  2. add the flour and whisk
  3. put 1 min. at full power in the microwave
  4. add a sip of milk and whisk
  5. put 1 min. at full power in the microwave
  6. add half of the remaining milk
  7. whisk and put 1 min. at full power in the microwave
  8. add remaining milk
  9. whisk and put 1 min. at full power microwave
  10. season with salt, pepper and nutmeg
  11. if necessary, replace 1 min. at full power in the microwave
