Bread pudding in the microwave

Bread pudding can be baked in a microwave oven. It's faster than a regular oven but you should be careful not to bake it too long, otherwise it dries out. 

Served with warm or cold custard, this is a great dessert.

  • 4-5 slices bread stale
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 400 ml milk
  • vanilla extract
  • 2 eggs


  1. lightly beat the eggs in a baking dish suited for the microwave
  2. add milk, sugar and vanilla extract and beat well
  3. add the bread in pieces and make it absorb the milk
  4. put in full power microwave for 8-10 min. (900 W)
  5. the middle should still be somewhat liquid because it will continue to bake a bit after you stopped the oven
