Jambalaya is a dish of Creole and Cajun cuisine where the rice is cooked directly in the tomato sauce.
It is very varied, depending on the mixture of spices and the meat.
This is a very easy dish that's fairly quick to prepare.
- 1 chicken cut into pieces
- 300 g chorizo
- 30 g Cajun spice blend
- 400 g peeled tomatoes
- 350 g rice
- 2 tbsp olive oil
brown the chicken pieces in the olive oil
add the chorizo and let simmer
add cajun spices and tomatoes
add 1 liter of water and bring to a boil
add the rice
simmer for 20 minutes
