Marzipan is candy given to children in Europe mostly with Santa Claus.
This recipe is super easy and children can help prepare the dough and modeling.
Marzipan may be processed in different ways: when the dough is ready, it can be molded like plasticine and colored with food dyes.
- 200 g ground almonds
- 200 g icing sugar
- 1 egg white
- 1 tsp orange blossom water optional
beat egg whites lightly
add the ground almonds and icing sugar
knead until you obtain a homogeneous mass
- the egg white can be replaced by water
- when the protein is too small, the marzipan may be too dry and too tight. Add a small splash of water.
- if the marzipan is too wet, wrap it in aluminum foil: the dough will dry out slightly
- Marzipan: crowbot
