Tomato soup is a classic. Very easy to make and you really can not fail it.
Once you've made soup yourself, you will never again buy canned soups.
In winter this soup is warming and if you have a cold, celery gives you a boost.
- 3 cans peeled tomatoes (400 g each)
- 1 onion
- 1 celery
- 1 leek
- 2 carrots
- 1 sprig thyme
- 4 stock cubes
- 100 ml cream
- 2 liters water
- salt & pepper
peel and slice the vegetables into pieces
fill a soup pot with 2 liters of water
add the vegetables, thyme and stock cubes
season with salt and pepper
bring to a boil
when the soup has reached boiling point, reduce heat and let simmer
after 30-40 min., the soup is ready
mix the soup
add the cream
taste and season with salt and pepper if needed
- Once the cream is added to the soup, the soup should not boil anymore.
- Instead of stock cubes you can add soup meat.
